Research

Our faculty’s research in the Department of Social Work focuses on identifying and developing effective interventions based on scientific theory. We perform applied social science research that works to solve personal and social problems and investigates systemic inequities in power and unequal access to resources.

Our faculty are also committed to involving students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in research projects. From collaborating directly with faculty on research projects to working with peers in the Social Work Integrative Research Lab (SWiRL), our students learn from experts in the field of social work.
